M1 GARAND MATCHES
Eligibility: Participants must have completed at least one M1 Clinic at RSSC or equivalent.

Rifle: M1 Garand rifles ONLY!

Competitors will shoot in one of the following classes:
LIMITED: As issued, unmodified service grade M1 rifles. No accuracy enhancing
modifications such as glass bedded stocks, unitized handguards, NM sights, recut
hammers etc. Limited class rifles must have a GI military barrel. Limited class shooters
must use non-match factory ammunition (hunting soft points or GI ball) or handloads
assembled with bullets showing a visible cannelure. Other bullet styles will be
considered match grade. Use of match grade projectiles puts you in the OPEN class.
LIMITED class equipment is subject to inspection (field stripping). Questionable
equipment will be classified by the match director.
OPEN: Any safe modification allowed. Any safe ammunition

Ammunition: 58 rounds. Appropriate to class. NO AP OR TRACER

Location: Usery Mountain Shooting Range at RSSC. MAP

Course of Fire: 50 round reduced National Match Course (all firing to be done at 200 yds):

Shooters will pull targets and score alternating relays.

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded separately for LIMITED and OPEN classes

Fee: RSSC members: $10, non-members: $11, junior shooters: Free

Time: 7AM sign-up, Shooting starts at 8AM.
