Highpower Rifle Program
A. GENERAL
- Range location; The Phoenix Rod & Gun Club
(PR&GC)
Range is located at the very south end of 7th Avenue in Phoenix, where
7th ave turns right onto Olney. MAP
- Facilities: camping, water, and toilets are
available. mid
range is 500 yds
- Eligibility: all individuals, with special
attention to Juniors.
- Entries: no advance entry is required. Entries
will
be taken
to range capacity on a first-come, first-serve basis.

- Competitors will pull targets.
- NRA classifications and rules will be used.
Coaching will
be allowed.
- Authorized rifles:
Service Rifle
or March Rifle.
- Loaner rifles: PR&GC has a limited number
of
.30 cal
M1-Garand rifles for competitive shooting. Preference to Juniors (AR-15
also). For more information call the above number.
- Any safe ammo. To be provided by the competitor.
- Awards: To be given in accordance with a
schedule
to be posted
prior to shooting.
B. 50-SHOT, NATIONAL-MATCH COURSE,
SUMMER-LEAGUE MATCHES (NRA APPROVED)
- Entry fee: Adult $12.00; Junior no charge.
- Course of fire: 50-shot National March Course
with
two (2)
sighters at each stage. The long-range stage will be fired at 500 yards.
- Match schedule: (all firing will begin at 7:00
AM

C. 60 OFFHAND MATCHES
- Entry fee: Adult $12.00 Junior no charge
- Time limits for each day: two (2) sighting
shots
and twenty
(20) shots for records in twenty-two (22) minutes for the second and
third
strings.
- Match schedule: (all firing will begin at
9:00AM

D. 80-SHOT, REGIONAL-COURSE, WINTER-LEAGUE MATCHES (NRA
APPROVED).
- Entry fee: Adult $15.00; Junior no charge.
- Course of fire: 80-shot regional course with
two
(2) sighters
at each stage. The long-range stage will be fired at 500 yards.
- Match schedule: (all firing will begin at 9:00

E. Special matches
60-shot
500yd Prone Match
Garand & Obsolete bolt rifle Match
Patriots Match - 50-shot NMC, 200 yds, 4 sighters
during
the first stage. Fired as a team match. every november, followed by a
BBQ.
